Current Worship Schedule

Sunday Service:    8:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.

Sunday School      9:30 a.m.

It is fall, with a new school year beginning and a new program year for St. John's.  We begin using the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal (the new red one) on Sunday, Sept. 7th at both services but there will be several changes.

One of the comments Pastor is hearing is that we change liturgies too frequently.  So... we will continue through the season of Epiphany with the red ELW hymnal.  However, we will also use the Gospel liturgy once a month - usually the last Sunday.

Council is also asking the congregation to provide feedback on the possibility of going to one service year round.  Please let a council member know what you think.  You can email your thoughts to the church by going to our web page, www.stjohnsthornton.org, and clicking on link to email the church; drop a note in any council member's mailbox or Pastor's box; or phone a council member, their contact information is in the front of the directory.  We will not make any changes to the worship schedule this fall.
